product description

Wakesurf Edge shapers are engineered to efficiently channel the water that they displace for the biggest waves possible. You will love the monster wave from your Wakesurf Edge!

Large water displacement wing for a bigger wave

Switch Sides in Seconds

The Wakesurf Edge Pro 2 Shaper is engineered to maximize your wake's potential. No more listing your boat to one side or needing to empty ballast on the non-surf side of your boat - Wakesurf Edge is has been designed to produce the best wave at full ballast on both sides . Easy-flip handles make it a snap to install and uninstall the shaper, and makes it super easy to switch which side the surf wave is on.

Shaper Size Matters

The Wakesurf Edge Pro2 Shaper boasts 145 square inches of water displacement , which translates into a huge world-class wave. Made of high-strength rotomolded HDPE, this shaper floats high in the water, is built to last, and noticably increases the size of your wake over other solutions.

Patented Concave Water Channeling Wing

We put hydrodynamic principles to good use with our patented concave water channeling wing, which accelerates the water by slightly constricting the flow over the face of the water displacement wing. This extra acceleration pushes the displaced water back further, lengthening the wave. The Wakesurf Edge Pro2 Shaper is engineered to do what other shapers cannot: maximize your wave's size and shape while keeping your ballast equal on both sides of the boat.

Standard Wakesurf Edge Placement

SHAPER PLACEMENT: STANDARD POSITION

Use the diagram for a good starting point to attach your Wakesurf Edge. It's important to note that when your boat is still in the water it sits at a different angle than when your boat is pulling at wake surf speed. Attach your Wakesurf Edge at a slight upward angle to reflect the angle that your boat will travel in during the ride. That will ensure that the face of the Wakesurf Edge is causing optimal water flow obstruction and forming the best possible wave shape. A good rule of thumb on how deep to attach the Wakesurf Edge is to attach it so that 2 or 3 inches of the Wakesurf Edge is sticking out of the water. Remember that the back of the boat sinks down upon acceleration.

Forward position of wake shaper for a longer wave

SHAPER PLACEMENT: FORWARD POSITION

Moving your Wakesurf Edge wakeshaper forward will give you a taller and steeper wave with more push, though you will sacrifice some length. How much you can move it forward depends on your boat's speed, weight, and hull shape. You can move the shaper forward until the wave doesn't form at your desired speed. In many cases, this is as far as 5 feet up from the stern.

Rearward placement of wakesurf edge wakeshaper for a taller wave

SHAPER PLACEMENT: REAR POSITION

Moving your shaper all the way to the back will give you a longer wave that is less tall, less steep, and more mellow.

Ballast location for a good wake

HOW TO FINE TUNE YOUR WAKE

Don't settle for just ANY wake. You have the power to form and shape your wake for the most amount of fun possible behind your boat. You just need to know how to distribute your weight (ballast) appropriately on the boat. If you have too much weight just in the back, your wake will be tall and short. (Refer to the above information on why that is.) If you have too much weight (ballast) in the bow of your boat your wake will be longer but very small with no shape. The key is to balance the weight in the bow and in the back to make that perfect space for the water to converge and form a great wake.
